The Production Team Leader is a key associate at Hope Network Industries whose primary responsibilities include:

Responsible for the supervision of production workers working at Hope Network Industries. The Production Team Leader is expected to maintain or exceed HNI production standards for quality and productivity while ensuring that all employees and consumers abide by Hope Network policies and procedures. Must possess a ‘can-do’ attitude working in a team environment and be self‑motivated to see and act on necessary changes and improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Orient new production workers and production trainers as needed to the work area, facility and work rules. This includes temporary employees and participants in the training program.
  • Orient and train employees to develop personal growth opportunities. Help to develop and maintain processes that will assure production workers will meet quality and productivity standards.
  • Promote, demonstrate and maintain positive communication with demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Collaborate with team to resolve issues.
  • Keep work area safe and clear of safety hazards. Be familiar with OSHA standards and report all safety issues and accidents to a Production Coordinator.
  • Must be accountable to hourly production rates (including keeping up with the production board), requesting assistance when not at standard rate of 100%.
  • Legibly and accurately prepare all necessary production related documents and end of shift paperwork. Report daily the production results to the Production Coordinator.
  • Maintain work flow, quality control, and monitoring production process. Performing routine inspections of product, equipment, variables, personnel and resources; document corrective actions (with accountability) for anything that is not to specification to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
  • Assist in keeping production inventory organized by identifying components with accurate counts and identification. Effective planning of materials to prevent downtime.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the job instructions and operation of production machinery in assigned facility.
  • Determines optimal space utilization while maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment. Housekeeping standards must be met at all times, including 5‑S initiatives and eliminating waste.
  • Follow all Hope Network policies and procedures including the Hope Network Industries Workplace Guide and all Good Manufacturing Practices, GMP’s.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
