The Die Setter in an automotive parts manufacturing company typically involves responsibilities related to the setup, maintenance, and operation of various equipment used in the manufacturing process. Overall, the die Setter plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment, optimizing production processes, and contributing to the overall success of the automotive parts manufacturing company.

2nd Shift (3pm-11pm)

• Hoist operation, to pull and set molds
• Ability to perform all material handling duties
• Ability to perform / troubleshoot all backside set up duties
• Install hot runner cables, set up and verify
• Install EOAT, load robot program
• Load and verify process to set up checklist
• Assures cell layout matches blue book
• Completion of set up checklist
• Ability to purge new material in preparation to start up
• Ability to perform simple start‑ups, under direction of Process Tech
• Assures all components / materials from previous job has been removed from area
• Verifies housekeeping is completed prior to press start up

• Education:
  
  Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous work experience in manufacturing, automotive, or related industries.
• Equipment Operation
  
  Experience:
  
  Familiarity with the operation of manufacturing equipment and tools relevant to the specific industry is often preferred.
• Mechanical Aptitude:
  Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills are essential for this role. Candidates should have a good understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
