What You’ll Do- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Transportation Department, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality services.
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FTA, MDOT, funder, and licensing requirements.
- Develop, manage, and oversee the annual operating and capital budgets, including financial forecasting and variance management.
- Lead department-wide performance management through review of operational metrics, safety indicators, and customer satisfaction trends.
- Drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
- Build, equip, and develop transportation leadership and management staff through coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
- Oversee vehicle management, fleet safety, maintenance coordination, and long-term capital planning within approved budgets.
- Manage transportation grants and contracts, ensuring timely applications, accurate reporting, and full compliance with funder requirements.
- Represent Hope Network with funders, regulatory agencies, community partners, and external stakeholders with professionalism and accountability.
- Collaborate with internal departments to strengthen operational alignment, improve efficiencies, and support organizational growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in transportation operations, with progressive leadership responsibility required.
- Demonstrated experience with annual budget development and financial management.
- Experience with FTA Section 5310 programs, transportation grants, or contract management preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage audiences from frontline staff to executive leadership and external partners.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per Hope Network policy.
