Job SummaryThe General Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all business functions of the company’s operating location. He/She is responsible for achieving defined sales and profit goals and for ensuring all policies, procedures, and assignments are properly executed by all employees in the Schepers Lawn Sprinkling business unit. Responsibilities are performed with independent judgment with general direction from the President/VP Operations.

- Set short term goals and manage overall execution.

- Advertising campaigns – as needed with marketing.
- Off season management – consistently look for opportunities.

- Will need to be in Grand Rapids market to meet face to face with all direct reports, customers, suppliers, etc.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to hear and see well.
- Ability to stand on your feet and bend for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment (with the appropriate training and personal protection equipment).
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, wind) with appropriate PPE.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
