Classification:
Part time – afternoons/evenings up to 20hr/wk, Non‑Exempt, some weekends and holidays
The facility technician’s primary responsibility is for ensuring that Westminster’s facilities are properly maintained by performing building and grounds cleaning. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and a servant‑oriented heart, understanding that maintaining a clean building and grounds serves the greater purpose of enabling ministry and supporting our community of faith.
Key Responsibilities- Weekday cleaning of the kitchen sinks, all kitchen surfaces, dishwashing area and sweeping and mopping the floors, grounds maintenance trash pickup, empty dog station containers, shovel sidewalks as needed, daily trash removal, dining room and bathrooms as assigned)
- Cover for daycare custodian by cleaning WCDC during sick or vacation time
- Wash, dry and put away linens as needed
- Set up/tear down food pantry tables and stations as needed on Wednesdays and Thursdays
- Perform closing procedures on the building as assigned
- Work with others as a team to accomplish church goals
- Attend to member needs as requested
- Support other facility-related projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving furniture, and standing for extended periods
- Availability for evenings, weekends and Christian holidays, special events, facilities vacation coverage

- Self‑starter, able to recognize tasks that need to be completed and ensure they are done in a timely manner
- Work well with others as a team to accomplish church goals
- Possess interpersonal skills to effectively support fellow staff members
- Able to effectively and safely operate equipment to maintain the interior and exterior of the facility
- Attend to details and thoroughness
- Capable of moving heavy or awkward objects, Ability to lift 35‑50 pounds
- Capable of using ladders as required

QualificationsPrior facilities work a plus, maintenance, or handyman experience preferred
