POSITION

OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a seasoned Legal Assistant to support a dynamic corporate legal function where precision, judgment, and follow-through matter. The ideal candidate brings experience in supporting a corporate, transactional, or business legal team, a talent for keeping complex work organized, and a mindset that leans toward action. This role is for someone who sees around corners, keeps things moving, and takes pride in doing the details right.

While this search is focused on finding an experienced Legal Assistant, candidates with paralegal certifications or experience are welcome and encouraged to apply.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and transactional support to attorneys handling corporate and business law matters.
  • Manage and organize legal documents, contracts, closing binders, and corporate records with extreme accuracy.
  • Coordinate deal-related workflows, deadlines, signatures, and filings.
  • Maintain calendars, track key dates, and ensure timely execution of corporate records.
  • Serve as a resourceful problem-solver, proactively identifying gaps and resolving issues independently.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and revise legal documents and correspondence.
  • Liaise professionally with internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and third parties.
  • Leverage technology and legal software to improve efficiency, organization, and accuracy.
  • Organize and prioritize incoming legal services requests and manage legal tracker.
  • Assist with the preparation of policies & procedures and other resources for the legal department.
  • Perform administrative duties such as routing documents for signature via Docu Sign, coordinating review and payment of legal invoices, and providing clerical and research support services to the legal department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Three or more years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing complex, detail-heavy legal work.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and general comfort learning new legal and document management systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with discretion, urgency, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to systematize and implement policies and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to thrive in an environment where coordination and teamwork is a priority.
  • Ability to think creatively, and identify and implement proactive solutions.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the changing needs of an organization.
