A law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Of Counsel to join its Grand Rapids, Michigan office. This role is ideal for a seasoned employment litigator who enjoys leading matters, advising employers, and handling sophisticated employment disputes.

This position focuses on defending employers in a wide range of employment-related litigation and agency matters. The role also includes advising clients on compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic labor and employment law issues.
Key Responsibilities- Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges.
- Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
- Represent employers in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Handle class and collective actions, discrimination matters, and complex employment disputes.
- Manage litigation matters in a first-chair capacity.
- Supervise and oversee associate and paralegal work on assigned matters.
- 9+ years of employment litigation experience.
- Current Michigan Bar admission in good standing.
- Experience supervising associates and legal support staff.
- In-depth understanding of state and federal employment agencies and procedures.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Admission to the Michigan Bar required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
- Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.
