Associate Patent Attorney

Location: Grand Rapids, MI
DescriptionBodman’s Intellectual Property Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Patent Attorney to join our growing office in Grand Rapids.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications that are intricate to our clients’ global patent and IP strategies.
- Conduct freedom-to-operate and landscape analysis and prepare patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions.
- Support IP-related litigation and transactional practices as part of our general practice firm.
- 1 to 4 years of patent experience with a technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Admission to the Michigan Bar, U.S. Patent Bar, and excellent academic credentials are required.
