Position: Installation Technician (Contract) - Grand Rapid Airport

About the Job

As the On-site Installation Technician (3 weeks-Contractor), you will report to the regional operations manager, working as part of our client’s team to provide and maintain continuity of service for all desktop devices (hardware, software, and connectivity) for the customer and resolve any onsite technical issues which may occur within agreed contractual service levels.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customer system administrators and project managers to deliver and complete all project tasks
  • Inventory new IT devices and equipment
  • Installation of various IT workstations and peripheral devices in an airport environment
  • Imaging, configuration and testing new workstations and peripheral devices
  • Identify issues and quality control
  • Troubleshoot and resolve device or network connectivity issues
  • Escalate issues to customers as engineers as necessary
  • Detailed tracking and asset management
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years IT maintenance and support experience
  • A+ or equivalent certification a plus
  • On-site training will be provided
  • IT support and troubleshooting experience, including knowledge of Microsoft Desktop software (Windows 7/10, Office Suite) and operating systems, as well as a working knowledge of IT hardware.
  • Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to any new change or situation in a dynamic project environment
  • Able to communicate cross‑functions
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift or push 20-60 pounds of equipment
  • Able to stand or kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Able to use mechanical tools.
