Workday Financials Support Analyst

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Workday Financials Support Analyst in Grand Rapids, MI.

Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Workday Functional Analyst to support and maintain our Workday environment, with a strong focus on production support and functional configuration. This role will play a critical part in freeing up senior leadership bandwidth by owning approximately 80% of day-to-day support activities while contributing to high-level configuration initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level professional looking to deepen their Workday expertise while gaining exposure to additional enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support (Primary Focus - ~80%):

* Manage and resolve incoming support tickets across Workday and related systems

* Perform root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues

* Provide high-level functional support across key business processes

* Support user account setup and maintenance across multiple systems

Workday Functional Configuration:

* Perform high-level configuration within Workday

* Assist with calculated fields and reporting enhancements

* Support business process frameworks (BPs)

* Assign and audit security roles (ensuring compliance and audit readiness)

* Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure system accuracy and efficiency

Integrations & Cross-System Support:

* Map and align fields between Workday and other enterprise applications

* Support integrations to ensure data consistency across platforms

* Configure and support additional finance-related applications (configuration only; No accounting responsibilities)

Stakeholder Partnership:

* Work closely with the Vendor Payables team on daily requests

* Collaborate with Real Estate, Tax, Legal, and Corporate Accounting teams as needed

* Partner directly and with the broader team under for escalations and strategic initiatives
* 3-5 years of hands-on Workday functional experience (junior-level candidates welcome)

Strong background in:

* Reporting

* Calculated fields

* Business processes (BPs)

* Experience supporting Workday in a production environment

* Experience with user security configuration and audits

* Familiarity with integrations and field mapping between systems

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience supporting finance-related enterprise applications (configuration support only)

* Exposure to cross-functional system environments

* Ability to balance support work with configuration improvements
