Description

SKF is seeking a Hosting Engineer with experience supporting regulated, security sensitive cloud and hybrid environments across the Americas. This role is critical to ensuring the security, compliance, resilience, and operational accountability of enterprise hosting platforms that support mission critical workloads. You will work closely with internal IT, cybersecurity, governance teams, and external service providers to design, operate, and continuously improve environments across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, and on premises platforms, with a strong emphasis on CMMC aligned and NIST 800 171-based controls.

What You'll Do Hosting Operations & Regulated Delivery Own day to day hosting operations across cloud and hybrid environments, including incidents, changes, and service requests, with a focus on stability, auditability, and control effectiveness. Partner with global IT teams and managed service providers to deliver secure, compliant, and cost effective hosting services. Identify operational risk, vendor related control gaps, and performance issues, driving remediation and continuous improvement.

Support infrastructure and application initiatives in regulated environments, ensuring solutions meet security, compliance, and delivery expectations. Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with precision, maintaining execution discipline and stakeholder confidence. Cloud Platforms - Azure, Microsoft 365 & AWS (Compliance Focused) Support, Design, implement, and manage secure Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments aligned with CMMC Levels 1, 2, and 3 and NIST 800 171 requirements.

Operate Azure workloads with emphasis on secure configuration, logging, monitoring, and evidence readiness. Contribute to cloud governance initiatives, including landing zones, guardrails, standardization, and cost controls. Support AWS/Azure infrastructure services in environments requiring strong identity, access, and audit controls. Ensure workloads-internal and vendor supported-align with security baselines and compliance obligations. Automation, AI & Operational Maturity Support governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure OpenAI services in alignment with responsible AI and data governance expectations.

Design and implement automation that reduces manual effort, improves consistency, and strengthens compliance outcomes, including vendor operated workflows. Monitor usage, performance, and cost to ensure transparency and defensibility in regulated environments. Security, Compliance & Trusted Advisory Support hosting environments aligned to NIST based frameworks and CMMC requirements, translating controls into operational practice. Implement and maintain security controls (logging, monitoring, access management, encryption, vulnerability remediation) with audit readiness in mind.

Assist with audits, assessments, and evidence collection, including coordination with vendors for required artifacts and attestations. Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding teams through secure cloud deployments, automation decisions, and compliance driven architecture choices. Vendor & Service Provider Management Manage relationships with external hosting, cloud, and managed service providers, ensuring services meet SLA, security, and compliance expectations. Provide technical oversight of vendor supported platforms, validating control implementation, logging, monitoring, and remediation practices.

Participate in vendor governance activities, including service reviews, risk discussions, and compliance alignment. Coordinate with vendors during incidents, audits, and platform changes to ensure timely resolution and defensible outcomes. Provide technical input into vendor transitions, retained environments, and integration decisions, with attention to control inheritance and compliance impact. Architecture, Documentation & Governance Document architecture designs, workflows, standards, and best practices with clarity, supporting operational consistency, knowledge transfer, and audits.

Participate in on call or after hours support as part of a global IT operation.
