SAP Technical Analyst – onsite in Grand Rapids, MI full time
Technical AnalystWe are looking for a technical analyst with primarily SAP S/4 experience to contribute to the objectives of our global team and its ongoing projects. In this role, you will apply Agile methodologies to facilitate the efficient delivery of robust SAP S/4 technical solutions that advance cross‑functional business strategies and initiatives.
The team you will be part ofWe are a global team managing the migration from SAP ECC to S/4 to support manufacturing, distribution, and logistics. Our versatile members ensure smooth transition and ongoing ECC technical support, working collaboratively to achieve team objectives and align with company goals.
Primary Responsibilities- Interpreting functional specifications and translating them into implementable and supportable technical solutions
- Developing technical specifications utilizing standardized templates
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation
- Conducting research on S/4 platform best practices to address business process requirements
- Collaborating with technical developers to ensure deliverables meet business requirements and expectations
- Unit testing developed solutions
- Troubleshooting business and technical processes on platforms such as SAP ECC, S/4, and .Net
- Applying minor ABAP code enhancements and SAP configuration
- Applying Agile methodologies and principles throughout the entire development lifecycle
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging technologies and proactively sharing innovative ideas for process improvement
- Providing support for end‑user requests or issues through the incident reporting tool, Service Now
- Experience in SAP S/4
- Experience in SAP S/4 modules PPDS, EWM, and/or TM
- Experience in maintaining SAP system configuration (SPRO)
- Experience in SAP ECC a plus
- Experience with Agile methodologies and concepts
- Experience in debugging transactions, ABAP programs, and function modules
- Experience in writing ABAP code a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of ABAP development, including reports, enhancements, interfaces, function modules, workflows, and classes
- Knowledgeable in Fiori, SAPUI5, CDS views, OData technologies, APIs, Cloud Platform, HANA DB, and implementing or extending standard SAP Fiori applications
- Knowledgeable in BADIs, enhancement points, BAPIs, IDOCs, and Web Services
- Knowledgeable in Discrete Manufacturing a plus
- Knowledgeable in Make to Order (MTO) a plus
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing BOMs and Routings a plus
- Knowledgeable with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) a plus
- Build strong relationships and communicate clearly and effectively with diverse team members
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, share knowledge, achieve goals, and meet deadlines
- Apply solid problem‑solving and analytical abilities
- Adaptable, as team members must work in modules/areas of S/4 and ECC that they are not familiar with
- Facilitate data‑driven discussions and decisions
- Support projects that enhance business capabilities

- Stay updated on system methods, emerging technologies, and best practices
