Overview

Clark Retirement is seeking compassionate, dedicated med techs (also known as Lead Care Partners) to join our Assisted Living teams within Clark, a Life Plan Retirement Community. As a Lead Care Partner, you will be both assisting residents as well as passing medications. We offer paid on the job training and med pass certification! $18.25 is the starting pay and once you pass our medication class after approximately 30 days of on-the-floor orientation, there is an increase to $20.25.

Opportunities for continued education to earn up to $24/hour! We have a variety of work schedules available with reliable and consistent rotations.

Key Skills & Qualities
  • Knowledge of dementia preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience passing medications in an assisted living setting
  • Desired traits: caring, responsible, respectful, empathetic, detail oriented
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Familiar with Person Centered Living
Essential Job Functions
  • Distributes medication and provides treatments, personal care and assists with activities of daily living for elderly residents
  • Orders medications. Stores, distributes and documents all prescription and over the counter medication given to residents per protocols and as ordered by the physician
  • Communicates appropriate information to family members
  • Provides treatments, changes dressings, checks blood sugars, oxygen and vitals and other medical interventions according to physicians orders
  • Maintain all necessary documentation and charting in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assume the role of Care Partner (resident aide) as needed
  • Takes direction from Supervisor, asks for help when needed, supports team members
  • Reports changes in conditions or behaviors to nurses in a timely manner
