Outpatient Therapist - Adults (25-142)

Location: 790 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, MI 49503

Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm. No weekends or on‑call required.

$27.49–$36.44 per hour, based on internal equity, skills, education, experience, and credentials.

Provide ongoing, developmentally appropriate, evidence‑based, trauma and recovery focused outpatient therapy to clients of our Outpatient Clinic.

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
• Licensure in Michigan as a limited licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or eligibility to obtain within 3 months.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic skills, and ethical practice understanding.
• Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and address language/cultural barriers.
• Experience communicating clearly in stressful situations.
• At least one year providing individual and/or group DBT therapy to adults (for DBT therapists).

• Fully licensed MSW, professional counselor, psychologist, or marriage and family therapist.
• Training in motivational interviewing, CBT, and DBT.
• CAADC certification through Michigan Certificate Board for Addiction Professionals or plan to obtain.
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed theories, including community, intergenerational, and historical trauma.
• Experience as part of a DBT treatment team for DBT therapists.
• Experience providing individual therapy to clients with I/DD (for I/DD therapists).
• Lived experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders valued.
