Overview
Eye Care Partners is the nation’s leading provider of clinically integrated eye care. This is a Grand Rapids Ophthalmology position located in Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Beltline area).
Position:
Patient Coordinator/Medical Receptionist - Day Shift, Benefits
Department:
Ophthalmology
Reports To:
Clinic Supervisor
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone). Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
- Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times
- Practice urgency at all times with patients’ time, as well as Doctor’s time and schedule
- Manage patient flow in the office
- Knowledge of common fees charged for common visits and collect correct payments
- Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer
- General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
- Desire to gain industry knowledge and training
- Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals
- Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change
- Team-oriented and patient-focused with a positive work environment
- Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business
- Reliable transportation to travel to multiple work locations with minimal notice

Required:
High school diploma or GED - Minimum

One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%); bending, stooping, reaching (25–50%). Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs. Fine motor skills and use of hands for grasping, writing/typing, and technology. Visual and auditory acuity required. Occasional driving or climbing may be necessary.
