Requirements What You’ll DoAs a Personal Caregiver, you’ll provide essential support to clients in their daily lives, including:
- Provide personal care according to the client’s care plan, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and helping with transfers as needed.
- Offering companionship and a listening ear—perfect for those who love to chat about the latest news or local events.
- Prepare simple, healthy meals.
- Perform light housekeeping such as dishes, laundry, and tidying up.
- Provide transportation to appointments and assist with miscellaneous errands.
- Communicate any changes or concerns to the office or family.
- Prior caregiving experience preferred (personal or professional).
- Current driver’s license, insurance, and good driving record.
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient.
- Ability to assist safely with mobility and daily tasks.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work independently and in cooperation with others.
- Ability to communicate with others effectively and professionally with a high degree of sensitivity and respect, timeliness, attire, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work with physically or mentally impaired clients, possibly having a form of dementia or Alzheimers.
