Early Childhood Attachment Therapist
Pay Range: $49,920.00 – $55,250.00 per year.

Early Childhood Attachment Services is designed to provide home‑based parent/caregiver‑infant support and clinical intervention services to families where the parent/caregiver’s condition or life circumstances, or the characteristics of the infant/toddler, threaten attachment and development. Utilizing the Infant Mental Health model, the therapist provides counseling, clinical support, and play therapy to reduce abuse, neglect, developmental delays and behavioral issues.
Essential Responsibilities- Manage an average caseload of 18 families, meeting face‑to‑face client contact expectations typically over 2–3 visits a month.
- Provide direct service, including intake, assessment, individual/family therapy, and crisis interventions; maintain timely documentation in the electronic client record.
- Deliver parent-child psychotherapy and play therapy interventions tailored to family needs based on the level of training.
- Assess infant, toddler, preschooler, and family needs; monitor development with developmental assessments at intake and as needed.
- Provide education, resources, and training to parents/caregivers on child and family development.
- Offer support and guidance to childcare centers to prevent expulsion.
- Assist supervisor with child & parent/caregiver support group activities when needed.
- Participate in case‑related activities such as school/daycare meetings and occasional court hearings for case coordination and advocacy.
- Collaborate with other agency and community programs to coordinate care.
- Schedule evaluations and other services, identifying and solving barriers to service for families.
- Attend monthly team meetings, reflective supervision, and required individual supervision (monthly for fully licensed, bi‑weekly for limited licensing).
- Complete agency requirements: timesheets, mileage reimbursement, and keep Outlook calendar up‑to‑date.
- Advocate for children and families at organizational and program levels.
- Complete intake forms, assessment, treatment plans, service plan reviews, and discharges by due dates.
- Submit progress notes within 7 days of service delivery.
- Coordinate with supervisor to provide data and documentation to meet contract expectations.
- Act as a cultural bridge between families and community groups.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and linguistic differences in all interactions.
- Maintain flexible hours, seven days a week; arrange for coverage if unavailable.
- Work at least 40 hours per week.
- Complete minimum 24 child and family‑focused training hours per calendar year plus agency‑required trainings.
- Perform other duties set forth in agency personnel policies.
General Direction – Plans and arranges own work using a wide range of procedures to accomplish assigned objectives.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
