As a member of an interdisciplinary management team within the Community Clinical Services Division the individual will provide direct management and oversight of daily operations of the Kent County Health Department – North Clinic.

The ideal candidate will provide leadership and supervision to clinic staff and mobile health outreach personnel, ensuring that all fixed-site and mobile program services are delivered in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local operating policies and procedures. Further responsibilities include managing mobile health outreach services to improve access to care for priority populations; monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness; providing fiscal and budgetary oversight;

overseeing data collection and reporting; and leading program planning and quality improvement initiatives across clinic-based and mobile service models.

Additional duties include collaborating with internal and external partners, supporting workforce development efforts, participating in strategic planning and policy development, and performing other related duties in support of divisional or departmental objectives.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, no weekends, nights or holidays. Will be required to work from 10 am - 7pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.

Graduation from an accredited nursing program and possession of a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan highly preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Education or related field combined with four years of progressively responsible and demonstrably successful experience in public health and/or health service delivery to the client population required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in public health, community health programs, or health services administration is preferred, with prior work involving maternal, infant, and child populations strongly desired.

Candidates should possess experience or working knowledge of immunization practices, including vaccine administration, storage and handling, documentation, and adherence to state and federal immunization guidelines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to utilize electronic health records and data systems are required.

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work efficiently, remain highly organized, and maintain strong attention to detail. The successful candidate must be able to interact effectively and respectfully with clients, colleagues, healthcare providers, human service professionals, and community partners representing all backgrounds. A strong commitment to culturally responsive, client-centered care and the consistent delivery of high-quality customer service in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards is required.

A valid, unrestricted Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation are also necessary.
