We represent a world-class, multi-billion-dollar industrial manufacturing organization that is seeking to hire a Health & Safety (H&S) Manager for at their flagship production facility in West Michigan. Reporting to the site General Manager, this role will serve as the senior health and safety authority for the site and will partner closely with plant and business leadership to drive a strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership for health and safety programs across a large manufacturing operation.
  • Partner with site leadership to execute H&S objectives and reinforce accountability at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and deploy H&S strategies focused on risk reduction, incident prevention, employee health, and environmental compliance.
  • Serve as the primary H&S point of contact for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies as required.
  • Maintain regular presence in manufacturing areas to understand processes, hazards, and operational risk.
  • Oversee H&S management systems, audits, reporting, training, and compliance with applicable regulations and corporate standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at eliminating hazards, standardizing work, and strengthening safety culture.
  • Manage H&S budgets, resources, and priorities to support operational objectives while improving safety performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Occupational Safety and Health or Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing environment(s).
  • Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with leaders and frontline employees in operational settings.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
