Per Diem​/PRN Registered Nurse Med Surg​/Telemetry

Overview

Trinity Health First Choice is seeking a per diem / PRN nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a per diem / PRN nursing role in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Demonstrates standard elements of professional practice:
  Assess, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate
• Acts independently and appropriately within license, scope of knowledge and experience
• Maintains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions and outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders and contributes to quality and improvement practices and outcomes
• Exhibits agility and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Valid RN licensure in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment
• Minimum of 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health
• Required to have and maintain credentials per specialty area (e.g., ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association

PRN position with floating between Grand Rapids and Muskegon. Working requirements include 3 shifts every 6 weeks, with no weekends or holidays.

First Choice offers premium pay and flexible scheduling for nursing, respiratory therapy, surgical technologist, and health care professional travel positions. You’ll experience a variety of practice settings while traveling within your local region or nationally.
Travel health care professionals fill critical positions when unforeseen circumstances occur or when there is a position open due to extended leave of absence. Training at one site will apply to other sites within the region to minimize time outside of patient care.
