Pharmacist II
The Pharmacist II will prepare and dispense parenteral, enteral, and oral medications, monitor patient drug therapies, provide drug information, and direct support personnel.

Responsibilities- Review, prepare and dispense medication orders per physician order or prescription according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensure safe, appropriate, cost‑effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures and protocols.
- Contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department.
- Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners and suggest appropriate, cost‑effective therapeutic alternatives to physicians, as needed.
- Provide drug information and counseling to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the training, education, precepting, and evaluation of pharmacy students and/or residents as assigned.
- Provide work direction to pharmacy support personnel, verify the daily activities of pharmacy technicians.
- One year of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy preferred.
- Current registered pharmacist license and controlled substance license issued by the Michigan State Board of Pharmacy.
- Five‑year Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Advanced training in at least one specialty clinical area, msgs Preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification may be required (at discretion of manager).
