Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering upon a strategic relationship plan that includes quarterly/annual goals
  • Providing expert renewal analysis and delivery
  • Delivering outstanding service and selling new lines of business

In this role, you will have the opportunity to establish yourself as a knowledgeable industry expert and consultant in the field of group benefits. Your expertise and consultative approach will play a vital role in managing an assigned block of in-force group business.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 4+ years related experience (group benefits and/or account management experience preferred).
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain all required state licenses within 90 days. Active life/health license preferred.
  • Excellent persuasion, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, presentation, listening, and oral/written communication skills, as well as analytical skills.
  • Advanced math skills with basic skills related to graphs, symbols, equations, etc.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications preferred.
  • Maintain accuracy and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
  • Travel required (approximately 25%), including overnight stays and time out in the market in face-to-face contact with customers and brokers.
Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Non-Exempt expressed as hourly;
Exempt expressed as yearly: $55,900 – $105,000 per year.

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

We are looking to hire someone who lives in the Detroit, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, MI or surrounding areas.

We are willing to consider hiring at the next level (Sr Client Relationship Consultant), with the right experience.
