Our client is a well-established nonprofit organization and they are seeking a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to join their team. This role is critical for managing grant reporting, compliance, and budgeting processes while supporting the organization’s broader accounting functions. • Grant Management & Compliance
  • Oversee financial reporting for active grants
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and deadlines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related financial matters
• Budgeting & Financial Support
  • Assist with program and grant budget development
  • Support program managers with financial narratives and reporting
• General Accounting
  • Month-end close, reconciliations, and financial software accuracy
  • Lead the annual single audit cycle
  • Collaborate across departments to maintain financial integrity

• Experience
  • 3–5+ years in general accounting (staff accountant level)
  • Nonprofit and/or grant accounting experience strongly preferred
• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (flexible for extensive experience)
• Skills
  • Strong verbal communication and ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial staff
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working with diverse stakeholders
