We are seeking a School Finance Partner to join a mission-driven team that is passionate about improving educational outcomes for students across the country. In this role, you will serve as a trusted financial advisor to schools, helping leaders make informed, proactive decisions that directly impact students and communities.

You’ll work alongside a collaborative and high-performing finance team, supporting multiple schools and funding sources, while navigating both state and federal requirements.
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite)
Compensation: $54,000 – $75,000 annually
Base pay range$54,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
What You’ll Do- Partner with school leaders to develop, review, and manage school budgets that align with both strategy and compliance.
- Monitor and analyze spending across multiple funding sources to ensure sustainability, allowability, and program alignment.
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, statements, and grant documentation using a variety of systems and platforms.
- Research, apply for, and manage grant funding opportunities, tailoring applications to unique school and student needs.
- Serve as a trusted liaison between schools, internal teams, state agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Identify challenges, recommend solutions, and support audits and compliance reviews as needed.
- Consistently provide exceptional customer service while balancing strict timelines and competing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Business, or related field preferred).
- Background in business, accounting, or a closely related discipline.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze and summarize large datasets.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Growth-minded, self-directed, and a strong collaborator who thrives in interdependent team environments.
- Experience with grants or compliance reporting.
- Knowledge of federal/state funding guidelines in education or public sector.
- Familiarity with financial systems and data platforms.
- Prior experience advising stakeholders or leaders on budgetary matters.
