Responsibilities- Oversee client portfolios of various size and scope within the alternative investment fund industry (private equity, real estate and/or hedge funds)
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients
- Manage teams of tax professionals/assistants working on client projects
- Assess tax impact on clients of rules and law changes, develop tax arguments to support conclusions and make recommendations
- Facilitate risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and the budget for projects
- Deliver high‑quality tax services to clients
- Minimum five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university;
Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, plus any other designation on KPMG's approved credential list (one year from hire to obtain any required credential) - Proficient in the taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information

Compensation is based on skills, responsibilities, experience, and market considerations. Salary ranges vary by location; for example, the California salary range for this role is $96,800 – $187,500.
