Event Staff/ Venue Crew, Customer Service Rep
Overview
Join our team as a supervisor and take the lead in supporting our Rental Team. In this role, you will help with the set-up and teardown of various spaces, including the Bissell Tree House, Event Tent, and picnic areas, ensuring they are clean and organized, including floors, bathrooms, and kitchens. You’ll also manage the organization and inventory of the storage areas;
help support the Maintenance & Grounds Teams and assist with early access set-up for clients when needed. Additional tasks include inputting maintenance tickets, assembling rental items, and maintaining accurate inventory records. - Will work in various environments both inside and outside and may occasionally be exposed to inclement weather, temperature and air quality variations.
- While performing the essential functions of this position the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical hazards; noxious fumes; blood borne pathogens; cleaning compounds; solvents; detergents; noise; and other hazards.
- Must be able to navigate entire zoo grounds.
- Must be able to push, pull, raise and/or lower event supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally team lift/move up to 160 lbs. (the equivalent of 1/2 keg).
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, perform frequent movements, and/or remain mobile for several hours during shift.
- Must be able to use the stairs to access department office and supplies.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and exchange information accurately.
- Must be 18+ to apply
- Must be able to work 20 hours per week
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings
