Quality Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team, focusing on creating manufacturing work instructions for new processes. This role is essential for implementing corrective actions and process improvements within our automotive paint manufacturing company.
Responsibilities- Create and develop manufacturing work instructions for new processes.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing and quality engineering team to implement corrective actions.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Utilize Microsoft Office to make necessary changes and roll them out to the team.
- Experience in automotive quality engineering.
- Proficiency in implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to develop and manage manufacturing work instructions.
- Experience with process improvements.
- Knowledge of paint line processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Familiarity with 8D problem-solving methodology.
- Understanding of Six Sigma principles.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in automotive paint processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is advantageous.
- 8D problem-solving methodology.
- Six Sigma certification or training.
This role involves a mix of work in both the plant and office environments. You will need to be present on the plant floor to understand and address issues effectively. Flexible working hours are available, with options between 7‑4, 7:30‑4:30, or 8‑5. Occasionally, there may be a need to work the third shift for problem‑solving, though this should not be more than once per week.

This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
