  • Coordinate Work Assignments, assign tasks and projects to A&P technicians based on priorities, workload, and skill sets. Ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Work with customers in a cordial, respectful and professional manner, and to see to it that all personnel behave accordingly.
  • Provide technical support guidance and expertise to A&P technicians in diagnosing and resolving complex issues. Assist in troubleshooting, interpreting technical manuals and diagrams, and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate skill development for technicians. Provide coaching, mentorship, and feedback to enhance technical proficiency and performance.
  • To always lead by example, through professional behavior, integrity, commitment to the company and compliance with its policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, repairs, and modifications. Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory compliance and management review.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Installations, Engineering, Avionics, Planning, and Certification to ensure effective communication, coordination, and integration of all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in meetings, cross-functional assignments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure daily timekeeping requirements are completed on time and accurate.
  • Oversee Technicians to ensure the work area and hangar are kept to the highest standards of safety, compliant always, enforcing regulations and practices to avoid accidents. Strictly enforce good housekeeping practices with the objective of securing an environment conducive to employee well-being.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are correctly used and handled by technicians for both safety and to reduce breakages, wear, and tear. Require technicians to report any tool malfunction promptly to replace or repair accordingly.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.

Required

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on aircraft maintenance experience in a Part 145, Part 121, or Part 135 environment
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, technical data, and repair station procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and engineering documents
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance tracking systems, work order software, and basic computer applications

Preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Background in continuous improvement or lean processes
  • Familiarity with auditing standards (e.g., AS9110, ISO)
  • Additional manufacturer‑specific training or certifications

Supervisory Responsibility:
Direct supervisory responsibility including the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such actions.

Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the hangar. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. This position is very active, and the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl all day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.

Objects weighing 70 pounds or more must be accompanied by a second individual to avoid injury.
