Position Summary
PSG is a global leader in the design and manufacture of pumps, systems, and related flow control solutions that enable the safe, efficient and reliable transfer of critical and valuable materials. We are seeking outstanding candidates who can translate ideas and strategies into world-class results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Evaluates and develops manufacturing processes, designs new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by conducting time studies, evaluating results, and planning workflow to implement new processes.
- Designs work-holding and fixture solutions that improve consistency, quality, and efficiency in assembly and testing.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Demonstrates ability to utilize continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma tools to lead the development, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes for all areas of production.
- Conducts complex analysis with knowledge of set up reduction, 5S, line balancing, root cause, PLC logic and standards, cell layouts, and machine designs.
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent and/or minimum three (3) years related experience in a similar environment.
- Proven mechanical skills and working knowledge of blueprints mandatory. Basic PLC programming skills (Allen Bradley preferred).
- Strong written communication to develop processes and work instructions.
- Proficient with CAD software – Solidworks preferred
- Time Study Experience and Certified.
- Six Sigma training
- Excellent analytical, mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Office programs, with minimum of intermediate experience in Excel.
- Ability to work with a union environment
- Experience with fluid testing preferred.
- Experience with automation solutions including robotics preferred
