Design Engineer Seating

Our client, a leading organization in the furniture manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Design Engineer Seating to join their team. As a Design Engineer Seating, you will be an integral part of the Operations Department supporting the creation of written procedures and standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong collaboration skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for quality and innovation, which will align successfully within the organization.

** Pay Range:** $85,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience)

** What's the Job?*
* + Support the operations department in developing comprehensive written procedures and standards for material/component inspection and assessment.

+ Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Operations teams to understand technical and visual expectations of components and products.

+ Document standards clearly using provided templates, incorporating text, images, and physical samples as needed.

+ Ensure clarity of standards and obtain stakeholder approval through effective communication.

+ Provide regular updates on project progress and identify areas where additional support may be required.

** What's Needed?*
* + Experience working within a manufacturing environment, particularly in contract furniture, automotive, or similar industries.

+ Motivated and driven individual with a strong work ethic.

+ Knowledge of quality system documentation and standardized work processes.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across shop and office teams.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant software tools.

+ Technical or Engineering Degree (AS/BS) is a plus.
