Position: Civil Field Intern - Michigan Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Fishbeck is offering a hands-on internship where you'll work on active construction sites, assist with inspections, and gain real-world experience in infrastructure development. You'll be part of a team that values your contributions and helps you grow - with opportunities available in our Grand Rapids, Farmington Hills, and Lansing, MI offices.
What You'll Work On

• Help prepare daily reports documenting jobsite conditions and completed work.
• Assist in verifying that construction meets design and contract requirements.
• Support engineers and inspectors with Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Participate in site visits and observe project execution firsthand.
• Learn how to communicate findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience in construction, field inspection, or testing is a plus.
• Comfortable working outdoors and traveling to project sites.
• Eager to learn and contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects.
