Controls Commissioning Team Lead (M/F/D)

Join TGW Logistics as a Controls Commissioning Team Lead to design and integrate control systems for industrial material‑handling solutions. This role supervises a team of engineers who travel regularly to customer facilities to support onsite commissioning.

• Guide a team of Controls Commissioning Engineers and perform supervisory tasks including scheduling, reviewing and approving timecards, time‑off requests, expense reports, and performance management activities (with support of manager).
• Lead the design, development, and commissioning of control systems using PLCs and HMIs to meet project requirements.
• Write and debug PLC code and HMI applications to ensure proper functioning of control systems.
• Integrate control systems with other components such as sensors, actuators, and communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, etc.).
• Conduct in‑house emulation testing to verify system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise prior to going onsite for commissioning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Controls‑related field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5) or more years of hands‑on Controls Engineering experience, preferably in material‑handling, industrial, or warehouse environment.
• Robust knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human‑Machine Interface) systems.
• Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, with the ability to read e‑drawings and AutoCAD drawings.
• Prior experience in formal or informal leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience working on full design‑to‑production project life cycles.
