- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems using Allen-Bradley platforms (Control Logix, Compact Logix, Panel View).
- Support, program, and troubleshoot ABB and FANUC robotics
, including integration with PLCs and production equipment. - Maintain and improve servo drives, VFDs, HMI systems, safety circuits, and industrial networks.
- Lead and support automation projects, including new equipment launches, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create, maintain, and update electrical schematics and controls documentation using AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Perform system backups, version control, and change management for all automation assets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance and engineering personnel.
- Support root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions for recurring controls issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
- 5+ years of hands-on Controls Engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong expertise with Allen-Bradley PLCs
, HMIs, and industrial networks. - Working experience with ABB and FANUC robots
, including programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning. - Experience with servo systems, VFDs, safety PLCs, and motion control.
- Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics.
- Experience supporting automation in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to vision systems, SCADA, and advanced safety systems.
- Prior involvement in capital equipment projects and system integrations.
