  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems using Allen-Bradley platforms (Control Logix, Compact Logix, Panel View).
  • Support, program, and troubleshoot ABB and FANUC robotics
    , including integration with PLCs and production equipment.
  • Maintain and improve servo drives, VFDs, HMI systems, safety circuits, and industrial networks.
  • Lead and support automation projects, including new equipment launches, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create, maintain, and update electrical schematics and controls documentation using AutoCAD or similar tools.
  • Perform system backups, version control, and change management for all automation assets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance and engineering personnel.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions for recurring controls issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on Controls Engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong expertise with Allen-Bradley PLCs
    , HMIs, and industrial networks.
  • Working experience with ABB and FANUC robots
    , including programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Experience with servo systems, VFDs, safety PLCs, and motion control.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics.
  • Experience supporting automation in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to vision systems, SCADA, and advanced safety systems.
  • Prior involvement in capital equipment projects and system integrations.
