Electrical Designer

Tower Pinkster is an architecture, engineering, and interior design firm based in Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. Leveraging a legacy that began in 1953, we now employ more than 250 professionals across three states. We are looking for a talented, skilled Electrical Designer to manage electrical system design for projects, coordinate project teams, and ensure schedule compliance.

• Assist the lead engineer and participate in the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, coordinate with the technology group for data and communication sameng, fire alarm, and nurse call to meet owner/client попробовать; requirements.
• Provide assessment of existing building systems and report back to owner with recommendations on needed maintenance, available savings, and/or rebates for upgrades.
• Provide electrical engineer design solutions, calculations, design documents, specifications, and project communications.
• Provide follow‑through for designs: construction correspondence, observation, punch listing and close out.
• Participate, where requested, in client meetings.
• Coordinate your work with all disciplines and consultants.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and contractor proposed change orders.
• Adhere to project budgeted time and schedule.
• Collaborate with the team to share experiences, knowledge, skills, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and train entry‑level designers across multiple offices.
• Assist with electrical specifications.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program.
• 15 plus years of industry experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial building electrical systems.
• Experience with an A/E or MEP consulting firm is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in Revit software, lighting calculation software and proficiency in spreadsheet is preferred.
