Scopeof Responsibilities
- Co‑lead the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance teams, aligning priorities with plant objectives.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build technical capability, leadership skills, and career growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set development goals, and provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Lead process optimization for secondary assembly operations, including automation, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and other post‑molding processes.
- Support the design, implementation, and improvement of assembly cells and workstations.
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to resolve process issues and improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, and training materials.
- Provide limited support to molding operations as needed, with primary focus on downstream processes.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for injection molding machines, assembly automation, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
- Lead and manage capital projects related to new equipment, automation, and facility improvements from concept through implementation.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful execution.
- Lead quoting activities for new and modified assembly processes, including cost estimation, equipment specification, and process planning.
- Support commercial teams with technical input during customer quoting and RFQ processes.
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for both engineering and maintenance functions, including OEE, downtime and MTTR, scrap and rework rates, project timeliness and budget adherence, and employee development metrics.
- Use data to identify trends, drive root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Present performance updates to leadership and recommend strategic improvements.
- Understand and support the values of the Triple Bottom Line; exhibit high moral and ethical standards and integrity.
- Encourage open dialogue and communication; develop high‑trust relationships within all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- 5–10 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in injection molding and secondary assembly operations.
- Proven leadership experience leading and developing indirect personnel such as technicians, contractors, or cross‑functional teams.
- Strong understanding of secondary assembly processes such as ultrasonic welding, pad printing, mechanical fastening, and automated assembly.
- Familiarity with injection molding equipment and tooling is a plus but not the primary focus.
- Proficiency in CAD, CMMS, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Preferred experience with automation and vision inspection systems; R&D or Scientific Molding training/certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills; excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities; ability to lead through influence and build trust across departments.
Target starting base salary: $99,558.00 – $ / year (plus quarterly incentive). Salary is a general guideline; final offer may vary based on market and business considerations.
