. As the Avionics North America (ANA) Engineering Process Leader, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement of our ANA‑specific engineering processes, policies, procedures, and work instructions. Your expertise will ensure that Avionics engineering processes are effectively integrated into the ANA Quality Management System (QMS) and sustained to support all internal and industry standard requirements.
You will be instrumental in managing the lifecycle of engineering process artifacts, including training the engineering community on the process framework. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence in engineering practices.
- Establish standard work for the Avionics Engineering Process Leader position in accordance with FLIGHT DECK guidance.
- Establish metrics to measure the ongoing health of Avionics Engineering Processes and their impact on engineering as represented in Key Performance Indicators.
- Represent ANA Engineering process with internal and external auditors.
- Maintain ownership of top‑level engineering process documents, ensuring alignment with global and corporate processes and industry standards.
- Ensure global and Avionics‑specific engineering processes are adequately defined, documented, and integrated into the ANA Procedure 400.
- Maintain and curate the ANA engineering process artifact libraries, ensuring relevance and accessibility.
- Oversee change management of engineering process artifacts, managing initiation, stakeholder engagement, and strict adherence to CC1 change‑management requirements.
- Coordinate, communicate, and oversee training related to changes or new introductions in engineering processes.
- Participate in decision‑making regarding process applicability at a global versus ANA site level and deliver training on adoption.
- Resolve engineering process compliance or quality issues to ensure QMS withstand audits and inspections.
- Identify and coordinate initiatives for continuous improvement of ANA engineering processes.
- Stay informed about ANA product areas, development practices, and regulatory landscape to apply engineering processes effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field with at least 6 years of experience in process management.
- U.S. Citizen status required proof of U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or protected status will be required.
- Avion experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, process management, and change management practices.
- Familiarity with AS9145 – Advanced Product Quality Planning.
- Proven experience in engineering process management, quality management systems, or a similar role.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and training skills.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across various levels and functions.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the engineering sector.
