Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Project Architect who will take ownership of the drawings and translate design intent into buildable documents. You will oversee and ensure technical success for projects, identify code issues, and develop appropriate strategies. You will manage the drawing efforts of team members, coordinate consultant drawings, and handle construction administration tasks.
Responsibilities- Oversee and deliver technical success for the project.
- Translate design intent into buildable documents.
- Identify code issues and develop a code strategy for drawings.
- Ensure clarity, legibility, and hierarchy of graphic communication.
- Develop appropriate details and select materials for projects.
- Manage the delivery of technical specifications.
- Coordinate consultant drawings with architectural design.
- Review submittals and shop drawings during construction administration.
- Respond to inquiries from the contractor and visit the site as needed.
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, and Adobe Suite.
- Ability to plan and manage construction documents.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in K-12 projects.
- Experience in project management.
- Knowledge in construction administration.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.08/hr.
