POSITION TITLE:Kids Care Staff - Assistant Teachers for 26–27 school year
BUILDING: Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School (GRCES) - Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses
SCHEDULE: Part-time school-year, hourly position
REPORTS TO: Early Learning Center Program Administrator (Evergreen Campus), Preschool Program Administrator (Iroquois Campus)
COORDINATES WITH: Kids Care Coordinator (Evergreen Campus), Preschool Administrative Assistant (Iroquois Campus)
POSITION SUMMARYBoth the Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses of GRCES are seeking new Assistant Teachers in our Kids Care Program. Kids Care is a licensed child care program at Grand Rapids Christian Elementary that provides quality before and after-school care for our families during the school year. Applicants must meet licensing requirements and possess a deep commitment to Christian education.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide a safe environment and active supervision for students before and after school hours
- Build relationships and interact with children during play and activities
- Clean and organize the learning spaces daily
- Coordinate with Kids Care team members
- At least 16 years of age
- Preferred experience working with children
- CPR/First Aid Certified, can be completed after employment
- Complete and pass the state-required background check
- Complete required, on-going trainings, if offered the position
- Be able to sit on the floor with children and move around for long periods of time
