POSITION SUMMARYGrand Rapids Christian Elementary School, Evergreen Campus, seeks a part-time music teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Applicants must reflect a Christian worldview in their teaching, be comfortable with K–5 instruction, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and apply inquiry-based teaching approaches.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure high-quality music instruction that incorporates praise and worship in a Christ-centered classroom
- Create a classroom environment that celebrates students as image-bearers of Christ
- Develop and implement plans for a music program and show written evidence of preparation as required
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing
- Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students
- Participate in professional development opportunities
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Michigan Teaching Certificate and/or Music endorsement/certificate
- Bachelor's degree in music education preferred
- Teaching experience in the relevant field preferred
