Overview
Malignant Hematologist Position at University of Michigan Health – West, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Full-time Malignant Hematology Physician to join an expanding, multi-discipline cancer care team of physicians and advanced practice providers. Michigan Medicine and University of Michigan Health systems offer collaboration, mentorship, and research opportunities if desired.
Responsibilities- Seeking a physician leader in Malignant Hematology that can help grow pre- and post-bone marrow transplant clinics.
- Access to top clinical trials with the University of Michigan Rogel, an NCI-designated cancer center.
- Dedicated hematology service for outpatients and inpatients.
- Ability to work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines.
- Play a key role in providing exceptional care to patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and advanced practice providers to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct and participate in clinical research, contributing to the advancement of malignant hematology.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging therapies and clinical trial opportunities for patients.
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents.
- Develop strong relationships with patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
- Participate in tumor board meetings and provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers.
