Oncology - Medical Oncology Physician

Join the dedicated team at the Richard J. Lacks Cancer Center, a leading outpatient cancer facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, focusing on thoracic (lung) cancer. The center is well-equipped and provides a supportive atmosphere for a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics.

• Focus primarily on lung cancer patients while also addressing general and benign hematology cases.
• Participate in Tumor Board discussions.
• Order tests and imaging required for patient diagnosis.
• Prescribe appropriate treatments following consultations.
• Manage outpatient care, seeing an average of 8-16 patients per day.
• Provide telephone support during weekday evenings and weekend rounding as part of call rotation.

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.
• Active Michigan medical license (highly preferred, but will consider those needing to obtain licensure).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to specialize in thoracic cancer care.
• Must upload a self-query from NPDB, obtained within the month of application.
