Were seeking a passionate and driven Internal Medicine Physician to join our Hospital Medicine team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of our community while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Opportunity Details

• A professional, confident, and friendly team of 27 Physicians and 16 APPs
• Level 2 trauma center
• Inpatient shift-based only; no call
• Mostly daytime/evening coverage for rounding and admitting shifts needed, though the potential for night coverage is possible:
  • 8am-5pm Rounding
  • 12pm-10pm Admitting
  • 2pm-12am Admitting
  • 9pm-7am Nocturnist
• Hours could be 8, 10 or even partial shifts
• Opportunity to teach Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows

Requirements

• Relevant clinical experience required
• Physicians shall be board certified in an appropriate area of clinical practice or is board eligible and will become board certified within five years following the Start Date (unless sooner required by the applicable medical staff bylaws)
• Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA license
• BLS certification (must be maintained)/ ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Providing direct patient care
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Participating in teaching and mentoring
• Documenting in Epic EMR
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
• Supporting community health efforts
