Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial or B2B capital equipment sales, with a proven record of exceeding targets
  • Minimum 5+ years in a senior sales leadership or management position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred
  • Prior experience selling CNC machine tools, grinding machines, or related precision manufacturing equipment
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools for effective decision-making
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and communicate value to engineering and procurement audiences
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% for client meetings, trade shows, and internal team activities
Preferred Background & Skills
  • Experience and understanding of Japanese business culture
  • Excellent relationship-building and business development capabilities
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin goals in the precision grinding machinery industry
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a multi-state sales and operating team across sales, operations, service, and support functions
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and distributors; manage major accounts and strategic opportunities
  • Oversee sales forecasting, set KPIs, manage departmental budgeting, and report performance to executive leadership and the board
  • Optimize sales processes, implement best practices, and ensure effective pipeline management
  • Design and deliver sales training programs to equip the team for complex equipment and technical solution sales
