Project Assistant Intern – Mid Michigan Electrical Solutions

The Project Assistant Intern will support the project management team with administrative coordination, documentation, scheduling, and project tracking activities. This internship provides hands‑on experience in project operations, communication, and business processes within a fast‑paced professional environment.

This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate seeking practical experience in project management, operations, or business administration.

  • Assist Project Managers with daily administrative and coordination tasks
  • Support project documentation including contracts, change orders, submittals, and close‑out documents
  • Maintain organized digital and physical project files
  • Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Help prepare reports, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams, vendors, and clients
  • Support invoice tracking and basic budget monitoring
  • Assist with data entry and updating project management software
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Skills (Optional)
  • Familiarity with project management software (Procore, Smartsheet, or similar)
  • Interest in construction, engineering, or technical industries
  • Basic understanding of budgeting or financial tracking
