Overview
Join the 63rd District Court and be a key part of our dedicated team! The Kent County 63rd District Court is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Clerk II to support daily court operations. This position plays an important role in providing excellent service to the public and ensuring court processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Provide customer service in person, by phone, and by email
- Receive and process payments
- Verify and balance the cash drawer
- Enter case information into the court’s electronic case management system
- Process garnishments and other court filings
- Prepare and mail court documents to parties
- Provide backup support for other court staff as needed

An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
QualificationsRequires skill in filing, maintaining office records, and operating various office equipment. Must be self‑motivated, organized, detail‑oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse populations are essential.
Court or legal environment experience is desirable.
