Miller Johnson, one of Michigan’s largest full-service law firms, is seeking an experienced full-time Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our accounting team in our downtown Grand Rapids office. As the Accounts Receivable Coordinator you will collaborate with the accounting team and attorneys to support the firm’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions- Process all payment receipt transactions and prepare daily cash report
- Research and resolve discrepancies in client payments.
- Research unidentified payments for proper posting. Independent resolution of tasks and activities related to servicing of client accounts
- Prepare bank transfers and manage client trust balance
- Minimum two years of accounting experience
- Prior accounting experience in a law firm, other professional service organization, or banking industry is preferred.
- Concise and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional client service skills, independent judgment, and discretion to ensure client confidentiality
- Proactive and detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Self-motivated professional with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to think creatively to identify and implement proactive solutions
