The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company‑provided straight or box truck. This role includes loading, unloading, delivering, and returning cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.

• Cylinder Handling:
  Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
• Record Keeping:
  Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures, and return empty or rejected cylinders to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Warehouse Support:
  Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
• One year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record (no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years).
• If without experience, may consider an accredited driving school diploma and one year of driving experience.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Ability to routinely lift 25‑75 lbs.; occasionally lift 76‑125 lbs. with equipment.
• Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.
