As a CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role at RNDC by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. You will also have the opportunity to collect non-cash payments as necessary, contributing to the financial transactions associated with the deliveries.
In this role, you will- Properly conduct a pre and post trip inspection, noting any vehicle defects.
- Abide by DOT hours of service rules and regulations for your license type.
- Deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet, or hand-stack from the delivery truck and place said merchandise into customer account.
- Verify receipt of correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtaining customer signature and payment if necessary.
- Ensure physical security of truck at all times.
- Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily; may deliver up to 30 during increased activity.
- Covers approximately 160 miles daily; miles may increase to 200–300 during increased activity or out-of-town routes.
- Possibility to work with one or more helpers.
- Provide feedback to transportation management regarding route changes or concerns.
- May utilize a smartphone for interaction with HOS software and/or driver monitoring programs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Current Class B CDL driver's license (Class A CDL also allowed and may be required for some positions). Ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Valid DOT medical certification card and ability to file as required with the state Motor Vehicle Department.
