DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to conduct a variety of Highway Maintenance Services, as well as other related tasks under close supervision. We are seeking a qualified applicant that will train in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance.
MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Clean and clear culverts.
- Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
- Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
- Assist in storm cleanup.
- Fence and sign repair.
- Litter/debris removal.
- Emergency response.
- Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
- Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
- Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
- Some night work required.
- Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
- Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
- Accurate eye‑hand coordination.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season display.
