STAR is hiring an experienced Voice & Data Lead Technician to lead commercial structured cabling crews across the Dallas Fort Worth market. Our client is a highly respected electrical and low‑voltage contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering engineering, design, installation, and service solutions across Texas. Their network services division supports structured cabling, voice and data systems, commercial AV, and integrated technologies for some of the largest and most recognizable buildings in the state. With brick‑and‑mortar operations in major Texas markets and strong involvement in industry trade associations, this organization offers long‑term stability, continuing education, and real career advancement opportunities for Helper, Level I, Level II, Level III, and Lead Technicians, as well as pathways into Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager roles.

• Lead crews on commercial structured cabling installations
• Install, terminate, label, and certify Cat6/Cat6A copper systems
• Install and test fiber (OM3/OM4/OS2)
• Build out IDF/MDF rooms (racks, patch panels, grounding, ladder rack, cable management)
• Perform Fluke testing and ensure TIA/EIA compliance
• Interpret blueprints and manage cable pathways
• Coordinate daily workflow with project managers and other trades
• Maintain clean, organized telecom spaces
• Deliver projects on time and up to spec

You’ll work on:

• High‑rise office towers

• Institutional and public infrastructure projects

• 3‑5+ years of structured cabling experience (copper & fiber)
• Strong understanding of low‑voltage standards
• Experience leading crews and managing timelines
• Fluke certification testing experience
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and safety‑first mindset
